Achill Island in County Mayo was home to the film set of the award-winning film “The Banshee of Inisherin”. Six locations on Achill Island were utilised as part of the film. The locations include: Keem Bay, Corrymore Lake, Purteen Harbour, St Thomas Church Dugort, Cloughmore – J.J. Devine’s Pub and Cloughmore- Statue.
As a county located along the edge of the west coast, we were thrilled that the iconic coastline of Achill island featured strongly in the film “The Banshees of Inisherin”, the latest film production from Academy and BAFTA-winning director Martin McDonagh, staring well known renowned international actors Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleason.
